Celebrate Easter at Sunrise with a 73-Year Orange County Tradition at Knott’s Berry Farm
The Easter Sunrise Service at Knott's Berry Farm, hosted by the Orange County Southern Baptist Association, will take place on April 5, 2026, at 6 a.m., marking the 73rd annual gathering of this longstanding Southern California tradition. Members of Arbor Christian Fellowship—including Pastor Jonathan—will be present, joining the wider community in worship, fellowship, and the shared experience of the Easter sunrise.
The service is typically held at Wagon Camp in the park’s Ghost Town area, where attendees enter through the main gate. Gates generally open around 5:30 a.m. to accommodate the 6 a.m. start time, and both parking and admission are traditionally provided free of charge. Directional signs at the entrance guide guests to the service location, and early arrival is recommended to allow time for parking and seating.
This annual gathering features worship music, prayer, and a message centered on the meaning of Easter, all set against the quiet backdrop of the early morning hours. In the event of severe weather, the service may be relocated indoors to the Walter Knott Theater.
For the most current updates, attendees are encouraged to check announcements from Knott’s Berry Farm or the Orange County Southern Baptist Association prior to arrival. It is a powerful and beautiful service, and all are warmly invited to join in this special Easter morning tradition.
