The Last Train to Bethlehem: A Christmas Journey of Hope in Lake Forest

On Friday, December 19, from 5 to 9 p.m., we invite you to step into a unique experience: The Last Train to Bethlehem. Designed for families, friends, neighbors, and anyone seeking a moment of peace during the busy holiday season, this event offers a gentle and memorable journey into the heart of the nativity story.

At the center of the evening is a train ride that carries guests back to Bethlehem. It depicts the traditional Christmas story of the journey to Bethlehem, often highlighting God’s unexpected ways and the hope of the nativity. As riders travel “toward” that holy night, they are reminded that the first Christmas was filled with quiet wonder, surprising turns, and a promise that changed the world.

When the train returns, the celebration continues on the Arbor Christian Fellowship campus. Guests are invited to linger and enjoy cocoa, candy canes, cookies, warm memories, truth, encouragement, and genuine fellowship. The atmosphere is intentionally welcoming—an extension of Arbor’s belief that every person who arrives is not just a number but someone known, valued, and seen by God and by the church family.

This free event encourages visitors to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with the deeper meaning of Christmas. Families are encouraged to come, relax, learn, enjoy time together, and celebrate the impending arrival and birth of God’s wonderful Son, Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace and Savior of the World!
