Storing Up Treasures in Heaven: Arbor Christian Fellowship Celebrates Another Incredible Awana Year

Arbor Christian Fellowship concluded another incredible year of Awana with two memorable celebrations: the Spring Awana Store and Awards & Parents Night. Children spent Awana Dollars earned through memorizing hundreds of Bible verses, while some chose to invest their earnings in Kingdom work by supporting church-planting missionaries through the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering. Families also gathered to celebrate the accomplishments of Cubbies, Sparks, T&Ters (Truth & Training) and Trek students through Scripture recitations, songs, awards and stories of God's work throughout the year. From more than 1,000 verses memorized by T&T clubbers to Trekkers serving younger students—and from Cubbies reciting John 3:16 to Sparks reciting Psalm 23—the evening highlighted lives being shaped by God's Word and the lasting impact of a ministry dedicated to helping children know, love and live out the truth of Scripture for themselves.

A Week of Joy and Celebration at Arbor Christian Fellowship

This week at Arbor Christian Fellowship was filled with joy, celebration, and the true spirit of Christmas, as children and families participated in three unforgettable events. The week began with Kids Alive Weekend, where over 45 children performed the Christmas musical “We Three Spies,” sharing the gospel through song, dance, drama, and tumbling, and pointing all to the birth of Jesus. Midweek, the Awana Store and Birthday Party for Jesus brought laughter, giving, and family fun, as children shopped with their hard-earned Awana Dollars, contributed to the Compassion Christmas Gift Catalogue, sang “Happy Birthday” to Jesus, and capped the evening with the playful Cream the Commander tradition. The week concluded with The Last Train to Bethlehem, an immersive, family-friendly experience where guests enjoyed live-action nativity scenes, live music, games, festive treats—including a professional coffee pop-up by Cafe Koyan—and meaningful reflections on the birth of Christ and the hope He brings.
