Summer Sonshine: A Beautiful Afternoon of Fellowship, Worship and Missions
Arbor women gathered Saturday, Aug. 8, for a beautiful afternoon of fellowship, worship, prayer and missions at the Summer Sonshine Women’s Ministries Lunch & Comfort Cup Ministry. From worship with Christine Dickinson and a joyful performance by the Arbor Angels to creative prayer for missionaries, a celebration of missions history, an encouraging VBS recap and updates from Cameroon and the Philippines, the afternoon highlighted God’s faithfulness and the call to reach others with the gospel. The gathering concluded with Brenda Troxel’s Comfort Cup ministry, as women lovingly assembled gifts of encouragement for members of the Arbor family walking through difficult seasons — a fitting end to a day centered on going, giving, praying, serving and loving others in Jesus’ name.
Joy, Fellowship & Faith: A Beautiful Afternoon at Arbor Christian Fellowship’s Ladies BBQ Luncheon
The Ladies BBQ Luncheon at Arbor Christian Fellowship was a joyful and vibrant gathering where women came together for heartfelt worship, rich fellowship, and a lovingly prepared meal. The afternoon featured inspiring ministry updates about local and global missions, including the Woman’s Missionary Union’s Christmas in August initiative and Operation Christmas Child by Samaritan’s Purse. A meaningful time was set aside to pray for missionaries celebrating their birthdays—an Arbor tradition that honors and supports those faithfully serving around the world. A highlight of the event was the insightful devotional message shared by our pastor’s wife, Ruth Dignadice, which focused on the power and uniqueness of the name of Jesus. The atmosphere was filled with warmth, unity, and a strong sense of purpose and joy—reminding everyone that at Arbor, every woman has a place and a purpose in a community centered on Christ.
