Brotherhood, Breakfast, and Forgiveness: Men Gather at Arbor Christian Fellowship

Men Connect Through Food, Faith, and Meaningful Conversation

Saturday, January 30, 2026, was a morning to remember at Arbor Christian Fellowship as men of all ages came together for the Men’s Breakfast, a time of fellowship, reflection, and shared purpose. From the moment the room filled, the energy was palpable—laughter, greetings, and the warmth of male camaraderie set the tone for a truly memorable morning. Pastor Jon opened with a welcoming word and offered a prayer of blessing over the breakfast, grounding the gathering in gratitude and reflection.

The spread was nothing short of extraordinary. Guests enjoyed a variety of dishes—from traditional Filipino specialties to biscuits and gravy with sausage and eggs, cooked by Deacon Liles Cobb, and crispy bacon prepared by Curtis Baker. Charley Troxel served homemade chile verde, Pastor Augustine contributed tamales, and Uncle Roy added fresh donuts, creating a feast that fueled both conversation and connection.

The morning’s devotion focused on forgiveness, delivered by guest speaker Mike Stringer. His message struck a chord with everyone in the room: we have all been forgiven by God, and that same grace calls us to forgive others. “The devotion during the breakfast was convicting—a good reminder for us to forgive others because God has forgiven us for all our sins,” shares Deo Busacay.

Men then broke into small groups to discuss how to apply this lesson in their own lives. Tyler Johnson reflects on the experience: “It was a blessed time of sharing food, fellowship, and worship with brothers in Christ. The message focused on forgiveness, and in the breakout groups, we had the opportunity to share about who we have forgiven or what we may have yet to forgive. Great moments of spiritual growth were shared, and I noticed themes of Romans 3:23 and Ephesians 2:8 woven throughout. God was glorified, and the time filled me with His presence.”

Honest, heartfelt conversations explored personal struggles, relationships, and the impact of holding onto grudges. Marlon Clay adds, “It was a good reminder of how much we have been forgiven by God and that we should show the same heart of forgiveness and patience toward others.”

The morning concluded with prayer and everyone pitching in to clean up. Beyond the delicious food and insightful discussion, the Men’s Breakfast was a celebration of fellowship, encouragement, and brotherhood—a morning that left a lasting impression on all who attended.
