Kids Alive Presents “Star Quest” — A Scripture Memory Musical Adventure into Space at Arbor Christian Fellowship
A 38-year legacy of faith, music, and ministry comes to life as children take audiences on an intergalactic journey to share God’s Word.
At Arbor Christian Fellowship, excitement is building as the beloved Kids Alive ministry prepares to present its annual Spring musical production. With nearly four decades of ministry—38 years and counting—Kids Alive continues its legacy of serving children with creativity, excellence, and a deep commitment to Scripture and faith formation.
This year’s original musical, Star Quest: Search for the Stolen Scriptures – A Scripture Memory Musical for Kids, will be performed on Saturday, May 16 at 6 p.m. and Sunday, May 17, 2026 at 10:45 a.m. Families are invited to step into an interstellar adventure aboard ship J-316, where a brave crew is sent on a mission into space to recover the stolen Scriptures and carry God’s Word across the universe.
Through music, choreography, storytelling, and Scripture memory, Star Quest brings the Bible to life in a way that is both joyful and deeply rooted in truth. It is more than a performance—it is a celebration of God’s Word written on young hearts.
For generations, Kids Alive has been a place where children grow in confidence, friendship, and faith. Parents consistently describe it as a ministry where their children are known, loved, and spiritually encouraged week after week.
“Our kids say they love the choreography and the people who teach it, hanging out with friends, and snack time,” shares Paige Koehnke. Ria Lou Bitun adds, “As parents, we deeply appreciate the hard work Chelsey and Hilda put into teaching the kids all the dances and ensuring they remain focused on Christ.”
That same heart for Christ-centered teaching is echoed across families. Mike Perez reflects, “What I most appreciate is watching the kids come together in unison and dance, sing, and celebrate life—all things to Jesus.” For children like Carter and Charlotte, the experience is both meaningful and fun: “I love it because I really like musicals and being with my friends,” says Carter, while Charlotte shares, “It’s really fun and you get to sing and dance and tell people about God.”
Vanessa Mencer highlights the spiritual impact: “I love it because they are getting The Word down in their hearts and it’s so sweet to see the friendships they are making.” Anna Cha shares that even leadership matters deeply to the kids: “Codie loves that teachers give clear directions and that they truly care about the kids.”
For many families, Kids Alive has become an essential part of their children’s growth. “Kids Alive Ministry has been a blessing for our family,” said Lulu. “My children look forward to every Friday with excitement … it has been wonderful to see their confidence grow as they enjoy being part of the group.” Brittany Harmon describes KA as “a second family,” where watching children grow together is “such a gift.”
Chelsey Baker shares a tender glimpse into the lasting impact at home: “One of my greatest joys is hearing my children fill our home with songs of God’s Word they’ve learned at Kids Alive … unprompted, joyful worship that shows their faith growing.”
The Flynn family also shares their gratitude for the program and its lasting spiritual foundation. “Our whole family is delighted with the Kids Alive program,” said Andee Flynn. Her children, Seth (age 12) and Samantha (age 9), share their own experiences:
“I love dancing and saying my lines with my friends.” — Seth
“I like getting a speaking part and doing stuff on stage and playing with my friends after practice.” — Samantha
Andee adds, “But most of all, as their mother, I love that every play that the kids have been in is grounded in God’s Word. As they say their lines and sing their songs, they are declaring The Word. What more could I want for my children than to be in a loving, Christ-centered environment, steeped in the goodness of God? We are so grateful for the Kids Alive ministry.”
As Star Quest prepares to take the stage, it stands as a shining example of what Kids Alive has always been: a place where children are discipled through creativity, Scripture is planted in young hearts, and faith is joyfully expressed through music and performance.
