Storing Up Treasures in Heaven: Arbor Christian Fellowship Celebrates Another Incredible Awana Year
Arbor Christian Fellowship concluded another incredible year of Awana with two memorable celebrations: the Spring Awana Store and Awards & Parents Night. Children spent Awana Dollars earned through memorizing hundreds of Bible verses, while some chose to invest their earnings in Kingdom work by supporting church-planting missionaries through the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering. Families also gathered to celebrate the accomplishments of Cubbies, Sparks, T&Ters (Truth & Training) and Trek students through Scripture recitations, songs, awards and stories of God's work throughout the year. From more than 1,000 verses memorized by T&T clubbers to Trekkers serving younger students—and from Cubbies reciting John 3:16 to Sparks reciting Psalm 23—the evening highlighted lives being shaped by God's Word and the lasting impact of a ministry dedicated to helping children know, love and live out the truth of Scripture for themselves.
Kids Alive Presents “Star Quest” — A Scripture Memory Musical Adventure into Space at Arbor Christian Fellowship
Arbor Christian Fellowship’s Kids Alive ministry invites families to experience Star Quest: Search for the Stolen Scriptures, a Scripture memory musical performed May 16–17, 2026. Celebrating 38 years of ministry to children, Kids Alive brings together music, choreography, storytelling, and Bible-centered teaching in an intergalactic adventure aboard ship J-316, where young performers share God’s Word “to the universe.” Featuring heartfelt reflections from parents and kids alike, this production highlights a lasting legacy of faith, friendship, and spiritual growth as children learn, worship, and proclaim Scripture with joy.
Drive-In Delight at Arbor Christian Fellowship: A Night of Faith, Film and Cardboard Cars
Arbor Christian Fellowship’s Awana Drive-In Movie Night was an unforgettable evening of creativity, faith and fellowship, where children arrived with their own, hand-crafted cardboard box cars—ranging from Lamborghinis and stealth bombers to Spider-Man rides and tiny school buses—each reflecting their imagination and unique personalities. With popcorn, juice and laughter filling the Fellowship Hall, the children enjoyed the animated film DAVID by Sunrise Animation Studios, while Pastor Jonathan reminded them that true courage comes from trusting in God, just as David did. From the joyful delight of Cubbies, Sparks, and T&T participants to the dedicated volunteers serving snacks and cheering the kids on, the night combined fun, creativity and spiritual lessons, planting seeds of faith, courage and trust in the hearts of every child.
Greater Love: A Valentine’s Evening Rooted in John 15:12–13
On February 14, 2026, Arbor Christian Fellowship hosted a joyful Valentine’s Dinner—our first with Pastor Jonathan as official pastor—bringing our church family together for an evening of Italian cuisine, uplifting music, and meaningful fellowship. Guests enjoyed Mike Stringer’s hearty homemade meatball soup and delightful gluten-free dishes and desserts thoughtfully prepared by Melissa Baker. From Deacon Greg Wideen’s Sinatra-style serenades inspired by Frank Sinatra and special music by The Arbor Angels and Charley Troxel, to Pastor Jonathan’s message on Christ’s enduring, sacrificial love, every detail reflected prayerful preparation and purpose. With gracious leadership from Deacon Liles Cobb and Lou, and lively hosting by emcee Elizabeth Johnson—featuring games and a spirited auction with creative date packages and Liles’ famous strawberry pie—the evening beautifully celebrated steadfast love that unites and strengthens our church family.
